Under general direction of the Team Leader(s) the Electronic Technician is responsible for repairing electronic product for manufacturing and field returns.
Essential Role Responsibilities:
Performs timely and efficient repairs of manufacturing product.
Tests control board assemblies utilizing a PC to retrieve various engineering documents including but not limited to: schematics, assembly layouts, test procedures, and work instructions.
Completes required supporting documentation for all returns.
Sets-up and operates various electronic test equipment using multi-meters, oscilloscope, counters, thermo-couple simulator, etc.
Ensures quality control on product line and the adherence to standard operating procedures.
Maintains clean and functional work stations, troubleshoot equipment as necessary, and adheres to safety policies and procedures.
Promptly notify Team Leader regarding quality trends and issues.
Performs other related duties as assigned by Team Leader(s).
Requirements Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Must be self-motivated, a team player with the ability to work in multi-task environment
Knowledge of production/quality standards, and assembly
procedures/processes
Work well independently, have electro-mechanical ability/aptitude, excellent hand and eye coordination
Must be able to troubleshoot, interpret electronic schematics, read bill of materials, use test equipment, and in-circuit testers
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), MRP Systems, and QAD (Preferred)
Essential Education & Experience:
High School Diploma and/or G.E.D
Associates Degree in Electronics or Military Electronics Training
1-2 years assembly experience of electro-mechanical products
2-3 years electronic control repair
Food service manufacturing industry (Preferred)
