Position Overview We are seeking a licensed Physician (MD or DO) to join our team on a part-time basis to provide ketamine treatment services for patients with mental health conditions. This role includes both ordering (prescribing) and administering ketamine treatments in accordance with federal DEA regulations, Missouri law, and best clinical practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, or a related specialty, with a passion for safe, patient-centered mental health care. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, including patient history,

psychiatric/medical

assessments, and review of records, to determine eligibility for ketamine therapy. Develop and document individualized diagnoses and treatment plans in compliance with Missouri law. Prescribe and order ketamine for approved indications, ensuring adherence to DEA and Missouri controlled substance regulations. Administer ketamine (intravenous, intramuscular, or other approved routes) directly to patients in a safe, clinical environment. Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment, including vital signs, mental status, and potential adverse events. Provide emergency response in the event of complications, maintaining readiness with appropriate medical interventions. Maintain accurate medical records, controlled substance logs, and compliance documentation as required by DEA and Missouri’s Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. Collaborate with mental health professionals, nursing staff, and other members of the care team to ensure continuity of care. Educate patients about treatment, risks, benefits, alternatives, and obtain informed consent. Stay current on clinical guidelines, emerging research, and Missouri

legislative/regulatory

updates regarding ketamine therapy. Qualifications MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Missouri. Current DEA registration with authority to prescribe Schedule III controlled substances. Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience (psychiatry, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, family medicine, or related specialty preferred). Familiarity with infusion therapy, sedation monitoring, and emergency response protocols. Excellent clinical judgment, documentation skills, and ability to work collaboratively. Professional liability insurance (or eligibility). Schedule & Compensation Part-time: 1 day per month up to 1 day per week (flexible scheduling available as we grow the service). Compensation: Competitive hourly or per-session rate, commensurate with experience. Opportunity for growth into expanded clinical or leadership roles as services develop. Work Environment Outpatient clinical setting with private treatment rooms. Support staff available for patient intake, vitals monitoring, and administrative support.
