As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucal role in promoting oral health, performing preventive dental procedures and educating patients about proper dental hygiene practices. Hourly pay range: $60 - $70, with the upper end reflecting potential bonus pay. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews & oral examinations. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures in conjunction with laser & irrigation to maintain optimal oral health. Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments. Apply Arestin to help minimize pockets. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate patient records & document treatment plans using dental office systems. Adhere to infection control protocols & aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with dentists in the diagnosis and treatment of dental conditions. Skills Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to treatment. Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic setting. Familiarity with dental office systems for record keeping and patient management. Ability to perform patient assessments effectively, ensuring comprehensive care is delivered.
