JOB SUMMARY

This position will provide business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis delivery to the credit union. The successful candidate will work with departments and managers throughout the credit union defining business requirements and translate into data. This position will work with the Lead Business Intelligence Analyst and the Business Intelligence Developer to create data, systems and reports to support credit union strategy and deliver a self-service analytics platform to end users. Further the position will use technical tools to direct database marketing initiatives, leading member retention, member cross sell, behavioral/transactional marketing and member acquisition. Position will regularly provide reports and analysis to Executive team, Senior Vice Presidents and managers throughout the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

May include any and/or all of the following:
  1. Maintain the front end visualization library, data definitions, reporting portfolio, BI delivery tools and delivery a self-service analytics platform to end users.
  2. Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports and deliver regular reporting needs to credit union leadership.
  3. Identify and recommend new trends and opportunities by analyzing and presenting product and member reports and helping managers to interpret data and develop action plans.
  4. Work with credit union leadership to identify and define department and organization business requirements, metrics and opportunities.
  5. Develop reports to provide data driven insights for historical analytics as well as predictive and prescriptive analytics to inform credit union leadership on opportunities.
  6. Lead recurring meetings with stakeholders to communicate updates, performance, and suggest areas of improvement
  7. Analyze data to identify and recommend opportunities to improve the customer experience, operational procedures and policies
  8. Provide data driven opportunity lists to support the marketing efforts throughout print, digital, and other channels.
  9. Provide market research and competitive analysis around products, pricing, and services based on internal and external data review.
  10. Review business requirements and translate them into data definitions and work with Business Intelligence Developer to create efficient technical solutions.
  11. Ensures consistent and quality data integrations within our data warehouse and reporting tools.
  12. Applies database marketing best practices to identify opportunities and execute marketing campaigns.
  13. Responsible for member segmentation for each market, which includes education to retail staff on demographic data, and product propensity.
  14. Monitor and track campaign progress; and report the final results with the Marketing Summary ROI.
  15. Support the sales and marketing culture through the development and publication of measurable results reporting of corporate wide sales and marketing activities. Reporting includes, but is not limited to, promotion results reporting, the financial impact related to sales activities, consumer surveys, segmentation activities, sales and marketing activities and market share reporting.
  16. Create follow-up analysis process to evaluate promotions, mailings, product usage, and make recommendations based on data.
  17. Attend conferences, courses, workshops, and meetings that will increase technical and professional knowledge and be beneficial to the credit union as approved by the manager.
  18. Evaluate and review membership trends and opportunities.
  19. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
  • Knowledge of:
      • Excellent PC skills including software programs including Microsoft Office and general web technologies
      • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
      • Analytical ability to interpret quality and quantifiable data and present it in a meaningful, easily understood form to all levels within the organization including senior and/or executive management.
      • Excellent knowledge of reporting concepts and best practices
      • Strong knowledge of BI systems and best practices
      • Qlik experience or similar data visualization tool experience preferred
      • Strong knowledge of statistical modeling and analysis practices
      • Basic database concepts and some SQL experience
  • Ability to:
      • Effectively gather, analyze and present data to end users
      • Translate business requirements into data definitions and technical requirements
      • Read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form
      • Self-direct with the initiative and drive necessary to activate a project from conception through completion
      • Organize and prioritize in order to meet deadlines
      • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism

QUALIFICATIONS
Critical Development Experiences:

Education and experience equivalent to:

Four or more years of related education or experience desired, or

Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
