ED Boarders Unit Shift:
Night, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend required Weekly Hours:
36 Contract Length:
13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 - End: 1/19/2026) Patient Population:
Adults & Geriatrics Unit Size:
15 beds, daily census of 15 Charting System:
Epic EMR Interdisciplinary Support:
IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and more Estimated Weekly Pay:
$1790-$1920 per week RN Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience (first-time travel nurses welcome) Active Maryland or Compact RN license required BLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only) ACLS certification preferred Experience with Epic charting system Two professional references (one supervisor/manager and one charge RN) Must live at least 50 miles from facility Ability to float to other hospital units as needed Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Registered Nurse Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced ED boarders unit Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry, central lines, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and surgical drains Administer blood products, IV insulin, and manage cardiac/vasoactive drips (no titration) Interpret dysrhythmias and respond to rapid response/code teams Deliver wound care, tracheostomy management, and post-surgical support Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes Float to other units within scope of experience as needed Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
