The
Water/Wastewater Practice
is seeking a
Water\Wastewater Senior Engineer\Project Manager
in
Salt Lake City .
The primary focus for this position will be to serve as Senior Engineer or Project Manager for a wide variety of municipal water and wastewater projects. Expanding into Utah's water market is one of DEA's primary focus areas and this position will assist in marketing these skills to current and potential clients.
Additionally, this position will require the candidate to utilize their expertise in water\wastewater engineering related projects, including, but not limited to: water system conveyance design; water system storage; sanitary conveyance design (gravity and pumped systems); hydraulic modeling analysis; preparation of water and wastewater infrastructure feasibility studies and master plans; preparation of engineering and construction plans, specifications and estimates; and coordination with regulatory agencies for project permitting.
The position will report directly to DEA's Utah WEBU Market Leader. What You'll Do Key Responsibilities: Work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and contribute to the growth of our Water and Environmental Business Unit in Utah. Responsible for planning, designing, and leading a wide range of municipal water\wastewater systems and facilities, as described above. Serve as a Project Manager or engineer of record, collaborate with a team of support professionals, including, but not limited to drafters, EITs, GIS technicians, and technical editors. Opportunity to coach and mentor entry-level staff. Interface with clients and public agencies. Assistance in business development efforts (e.g., engagement in professional organizations and visibility efforts), preparing proposals and participating in interviews as needed. What You Bring Required Qualifications: BS in Civil Engineering. Registered Professional Engineer in UT. 10 years of experience as a municipal utilities design engineer with general civil and water\wastewater design experience. Knowledge of local, state, and federal designs standards. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Background in AutoCAD (GIS is a plus but not required). Technical memorandum and report writing skills. Preferred Qualifications: 15 years of experience as a water\wastewater design engineer with general civil and water resource design experience. Experience working with water conservation districts in Utah, local public work departments and secondary water companies and other local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. What We Offer?
