Regional Medical Center Emergency Department (54 beds) Employment Type:
Travel Nursing Shift:
12 Hour Nights (19:00-07:00) Hours per Week:
36 (option for 48 hours per week) Assignment Duration:
16 weeks (Start: 10/27/2025 - End: 2/14/2026) Guaranteed Hours:
36 Dress Code:
Solid Navy Scrubs Parking:
On-site available Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact State (no temporary licenses) Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (will consider 18 months with at least 1 year in Emergency Department specialty) Associate degree in Nursing required Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, TNCC Ability to float to other units and hospitals as needed Experience with Meditech EMR preferred Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages in a busy, high-volume Emergency Department Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical support staff to deliver comprehensive emergency services Respond to trauma and stroke cases as part of the Level III Trauma and Level II Stroke Center team Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients Float to other units and hospitals within the Alabama health system as required Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
