Property & Acquisition Specialist 2 – Camp Murray, WA

Under the supervision of the Base Civil Engineer (BCE), this position is responsible to coordinate and provide expertise in the specialized program needs/requirements for covering negotiations, property management, relocation assistance, appraisal, title examination, and/or property inspections. Responsibilities

Serve as technical consultant to the Base Civil Engineer (BCE) and DBCE on Federal and department real estate/property transaction legal aspects. Research, survey, and conduct studies of real property space utilization to ensure facilities are properly maintained. Administer host/tenant agreement programs and projects. Establish and maintain a quantitative and monetary capital asset account. Work with Facilities Manager and Production Control in support of the building managers program. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree involving major study in business or public administration, real estate, economics, accounting, or related field, AND One year of full-time paid experience in activities such as acquisition, sales, leasing, appraisal, title examination, escrow closing, negotiations, property management, relocation assistance, or selling, leasing, or buying commercial real estate, or auditing/appraising real or personal property for fair market value. OR one year of experience as a Property & Acquisition Specialist 1. Additional experience may substitute, year-for-year, for the educational requirement. Desired Qualifications

Understand and apply real property and legal practices and techniques. Review and interpret legal documents, deeds, leases, surveys, etc. Provide professional assistance to clients/customers regarding property management and building maintenance agreements, inquiries, complaints, and/or problems. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, SharePoint or similar software) to develop documents in support of program requirements. Other Information

Compensation:

Wage/salary depends on qualifications or rules of promotion. Background Investigation:

Must successfully complete the appropriate background checks required for employment. Must be willing to sign releases of information and shall not have access to any investigative materials and files. Background checks can take up to six months post-employment. Failure to pass may be cause for termination. Driver's License:

Valid to drive in the State of Washington. Must meet requirements of the REAL ID Act. This is required for base access and will be required upon hire. Military Facility:

Willingness to work on a Military Controlled Access Installation. Camp Murray utilizes the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) for entry. Must meet access requirements/background checks as described in the Camp Murray Access Requirements Policy. Enhanced Driver’s License or REAL ID compliant identification is required. Work Hours:

A choice between a Tuesday through Friday (4/10 schedule), Monday-Thursday (4/10 schedule), or Monday through Friday (5/8 schedule). Hours start no earlier than 6:00 am and end no later than 6:00 pm, with core business hours 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Telework:

This position is eligible for telework. Supervisor will identify an appropriate balance between remote and in-person work based on operational need and employee preference. Emergency Assignment:

May be required to work in an alternate location with rotating shifts, including weekends and evenings, during activation of SEOC or JFO in a high-stress environment. Travel:

Regular travel may be required—up to 10% with occasional statewide and overnight stays. How to Apply
