CASP CE CCNP Security CISA CISSP (or Associate) GCED GCIH CCSP
A combined total of ten (10) years of full-time professional/education experience in the following functional areas:
Computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies; Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) OR Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) experience Risk Management Framework (RMF), and the implementation of Cybersecurity and IA boundary defense techniques and various IA-enabled appliances. Examples of these appliances and applications are Firewalls, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Switch/Routers, Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), EMASS and, Endpoint Security Solution (ESS); Performing STIG implementation; Performing vulnerability assessments with the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution tool; Remediating vulnerability findings to include implementing vendor patches on both Linux and Windows Operating systems
Must currently possess a DoD Secret level clearance or above Current U.S. Passport or ability to obtain prior to start Travel Requirements
50-75% OCONUS travel may be required Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering MS and 8 years of experience as a professional Engineer Will have 10 years + experience analyzing log data, performing traffic analysis, executing audits, performing digital footprint and risk intelligence analysis, and possess the expertise to rectify any uncovered vulnerabilities. DoD Top Secret security clearance is highly preferred One or more of the following cyber certifications:
OSCP GIAC GSOC CompTIA CySA+ CISSP from ISC2
Certified Navy Validator What You’ll Do:
As a Cybersecurity Engineer at Peraton, you will provide Onsite Representative (OSR) support to NSWCDD DNA by providing administrative and technical support, performing ship checks, attending local meetings, providing critical fleet schedule information and coordination, and serving as liaison to the ship, etc. Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) OSR support shall be located at Naval Station San Diego, CA. Support all efforts required to deliver new TSCE baselines to the fleet. OSRs shall coordinate efforts to meet fleet requirements and assist with agreements such as MOA and MOU. Develop ship inspection procedures (including test procedures) ship check reports. Provide ship check reports in accordance with NSWCDD DNA provided Ship check guidance materials. Ship check reports shall include photographs whenever permitted by the ship. Perform AIT installations, removals, overhauls, upgrades, and/or technical assistance for assemblies, units, equipment, systems, ECPs, and alterations. Coordinate with the Activity’s Alteration Installation Team (AIT) to ensure that all material and applicable instructions, TDP(s), DFS(s), etc. are approved and installed. Develop ship inspection procedures (including test procedures) and detailed ship check reports. Adhere to the requirements of shipboard protocol as defined within Section C.5.10. Support underway periods as required to achieve tasking objectives. System Management: Maintain the smooth operation of multi-user systems, coordinating with network engineers and other IT staff to ensure optimal system performance. What You Bring:
