What You Will Be Doing Collaborate with customer product owners and cross-functional agile team to support working sessions and to evaluate, define, and prioritize requirements/features/user stories

Design and build React components and pages with TypeScript, modern CSS, and USWDS patterns

Translate UX and content requirements into accessible interfaces that meet WCAG 2.1 AA

Integrate front end features with REST or GraphQL APIs, including authentication and error handling

Partner with product, design, content, security, and DevOps to plan and deliver increments in Scrum

Improve performance and reliability, measure with Lighthouse and WebPageTest, and track Core Web Vitals

Write unit and integration tests with Jest and React Testing Library, maintain high coverage

Participate in code reviews, contribute to shared component libraries and design systems

Support CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices, including dependency scanning and SAST

Create and maintain technical documentation, contribute to ATO and change control artifacts as needed

Provide on call or release support during business hours, and limited after hours support during scheduled deployments

What We Need From You (Required) 4+ years of professional front end development experience, or equivalent

3+ years building production applications and/or websites with React, including React 18 features and hooks

Proficiency with TypeScript, modern CSS approaches, and responsive design

Hands on experience implementing Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 AA, including automated and manual testing

Experience with the U.S. Web Design System, or a comparable design system at scale

Strong API integration skills, REST or GraphQL, and handling of auth flows and pagination

Solid testing practice, Jest and React Testing Library

Git based workflows, pull requests, trunk or GitFlow, and feature flags

Agile delivery experience, Scrum or Kanban, and user story collaboration

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with federal stakeholders

Work Setup & Travel Hybrid - Based in Washington, DC. Occasional travel may be required.

Clearance & Education Must be able to obtain Public Trust

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT Management, or related field
