Infineon Technologies AG
Overview
The Infineon Technologies Power IC System Architecture team is hiring an experienced power electronics engineer with strong experience in datacenter server power architectures and related applications, technology and product requirements. The role focuses on driving next generation power management system architectures for AI GPU/CPU/ASIC in Datacenter AI and Server, Telecom Networking, High End Consumer and Autonomous Drive systems. The System Architect works on crafting new system concepts and solutions through direct interface with innovative customers and guides interdisciplinary technology and product development teams. We are looking to strengthen our Warwick, Rhode Island or Andover, Massachusetts development team locations. The position offers work-from-home options and requires approximately 10-20% travel to key customers and internal development locations. Responsibilities
Engage lead customers
to understand system architecture challenges, establish application requirements and feature sets for
new product
definitions, and help define functional blocks or control systems for new products. After productization, provide expert application level support to enable design-in activities. Define, simulate and
prototype system concepts
including
magnetic designs
and thermal management while validating electrical projections and physical stability. Identify, evaluate and
lead technology innovation ideas
needed to enable future products. Technologies can include
integrated circuit IP, MOSFET and GaN technologies,
packaging and software needs. Engage with standardization authorities worldwide
to provide requirements for offerings, and collaborate with Universities in research efforts. Qualifications
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or similar field with at least
10 years of power related experience . Knowledge in power conversion
topologies, power device, magnetics and control loop design . Experience in
MOSFET, Gate Drivers
and their interaction, and
digital products
preferred. Good understanding of semiconductor physics relationship to MOSFET and GaN parameters and figure of merits. Good understanding of functional safety concepts and automotive system applications is a plus. Proficiency in circuit simulation, schematic entry, and PCB layout tools. Oral and written English language proficiency is a must. About PSS
drives leading-edge power management, sensing, and data transfer capabilities. The PSS division powers decarbonization and digitalization with energy-efficient and digital solutions across consumer devices, smart home/building applications, robotics, computing and data centers, charging devices, power tools, and more. The next generation of silicon and wide-bandgap (SiC and GaN) solutions provides high performance and reliability for 5G, big data, and renewable energy applications. XENSIV sensor solutions enable IoT devices to react intuitively to their surroundings, while audio amplifiers enhance sound experiences in smart devices. Infineon is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome diversity, embrace inclusion, and base recruiting decisions on experience and skills. We look forward to receiving your resume, even if you do not meet every requirement.
