Human Rights Manager , you will help shape and scale initiatives that help define Cloudflare's mission and demonstrate the company's commitment to human rights, transparency, and accountability. You’ll also work cross-functionally across legal, public policy, comms, finance, marketing, product, and engineering teams, and help ensure our annual

Impact Report

and other reports and assessments capture meaningful progress. Your responsibilities will include: Helping lead Cloudflare’s annual Impact Report : Manage timelines, data collection, storytelling, records, and stakeholder coordination. Craft narratives that illustrate our mission and impact, in collaboration with comms, legal, public policy, product, marketing and engineering teams. Advance our human rights commitments : Support Cloudflare’s implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, GNI Principles, and Cloudflare Human Rights Policy and coordinate related due diligence, assessments, audits, and documentation processes. Engage with global human rights partners : help manage and build relationships with strategic human rights organizations, and other related stakeholders. Drive program effectiveness : Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop KPIs and reporting metrics for Cloudflare’s human rights, sustainability, and Impact programs. Support stakeholder engagement : Help prepare briefing materials and represent Cloudflare at external events, multistakeholder forums, and nonprofit convenings. Requirements 5+ years of experience working in human rights law or policy, international development, CSR, or a related field—especially with a tech company, academic institution, government agency, foundation, or international nonprofit. A strong writer and project manager, with experience owning complex narratives and annual reports or impact assessments. Knowledgeable about digital rights, international human rights law, human rights due diligence, and the global human rights landscape—particularly in contexts like freedom of expression, privacy, or cybersecurity. Comfortable working cross-functionally across legal, policy, comms, product, engineering, and infrastructure teams. Passionate about the role of technology in advancing digital rights, transparency, and access around the world. Above all, you love the Internet and have a passion for making it better. Bonus Points Law degree (JD), or graduate degree in public policy, international relations, or international human rights Experience working directly with nonprofits, NGOs, or multistakeholder organizations is a strong plus. Experience working with international tech and human rights organizations, including GNI, B-tech, and/or Freedom Online Coalition Familiarity with technology policy issues, including in Europe Familiarity with sustainability policy issues and regulations, including CSDDD, CSRD Familiarity or strong interest in learning about Cloudflare products, global Internet standards and protocols, and global Internet and cybersecurity policy. Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. For Colorado, Illinois, Maryland and Minnesota based hires: Estimated annual salary of $117,000 - $143,000. For New York City, Washington, Washington D.C. and California (excluding Bay Area) based hires: Estimated annual salary of $128,000 - $156,000.
