Overview

Senior Instock Manager, Amazon Fresh (APAC) is responsible for planning and executing initiatives to support inventory management for the expansion of perishable products across the Amazon network. The role focuses on identifying, creating, developing, and integrating innovative solutions and programs to improve perishable selection and inventory in the retail business. Responsibilities include addressing the complexities of perishable product handling (temperature control, short shelf life, shrink), improving customer convenience and satisfaction, and collaborating with tech teams to optimize and scale perishable selection. The candidate will work independently within assigned areas with manager guidance as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Launch program management: build roadmaps to optimize site launches and supply chain scalability in an ambiguous space; shape the future of perishable selection at Amazon.
  • Product and systems launch: collaborate with international product teams to define a launch roadmap and ensure new tech meets Japan’s requirements as part of a three-year plan.
  • Best FC space utilization: work cross-functionally with Vendor Management and Operations to create scalable, sustainable FC space utilization plans, including capacity planning for new Fulfillment Centers and Distribution Centers.
  • Forecasting and buying for availability: partner with S&OP PM to optimize buying planning and execution to maintain best product availability for customers.
  • Process improvement: participate in projects related to in-stock matters and share best practices to improve operational excellence and processes.
  • Stakeholders: operate within APAC Fresh In-stock, coordinating with Japan Category In-stock managers and vendor managers; collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain teams outside the immediate group.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership
  • 5+ years in demand planning, S&OP, operations, or supply chain
  • 5+ years defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
  • 5+ years defining program requirements and using data/metrics to drive improvements
  • Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and SQL
  • Fluent in Japanese with Business-level English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of statistics or analytical techniques
  • Experience with Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma
