About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Business Lending Development Consultant in Consumer Lending Retail Services

Responsible for making outbound calls with the objective of acquiring new merchant partners to extend our consumer finance product to their customers (consumers). Representatives must be able to clearly articulate between unique industries, programs, and market segments. Requires advance knowledge of the sales process and phone sales techniques.

Requires advanced knowledge of company, products and/or services. Requires advanced problem solving and/or sophisticated sales techniques along with advanced knowledge of the sales process. Representatives act as a liaison between various departments and the merchant/client/customer to reach sales conclusion.

In this role, you will:

Manage relationships for assigned medium to large and high profile dealer accounts

Develop strategy, proposals, and initiatives to generate additional revenues through optimizing business opportunities and ensure dealer satisfaction

Analyze profitability of ongoing relationship management and make recommendations to management about account disposition

Perform need analyses with current customers and understand customer needs

Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Interact with internal customers

Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications, US:

6+ months of Business Lending Development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Business-to-business sales experience

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

Call center customer service and sales experience in the financial services industry

Sales or sales support experience

Experience meeting or exceeding sales goals with respect to products and/or services

Ability to overcome sales obstacles

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

Strong prospecting, sales, negotiation, and influence skills

Knowledge and understanding of sales prospecting and generating referrals

Strong customer relationship management skills

Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment

Outbound phone sales experience
