The Lakes Home Care - ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The Lakes Home Care is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant to join our Home Health team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient office operations. The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in maintaining accurate records, coordinating communications, and supporting the clinical and administrative staff under the direction of the Office Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for patient records, and other office documents (electronic and paper).
  • Monitor office supplies and place orders as needed to maintain inventory.
  • Assist in onboarding and credentialing of clinical staff by organizing required documentation and keeping files up to date.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient and staff information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by Office Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or certification in office administration preferred).
  • Minimum of one year of administrative experience in a healthcare or related office setting, specially with Medicaid and Medicare.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with data entry systems or EHRs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred but not required.
