Responsibilities

• Deliver Amazon packages to homes, apartments, and businesses in the Western Chicago Suburbs.
• Deliver 180-250 packages per day with an average of 140+ stops.
• Manage time effectively while performing deliveries safely and in accordance with client requirements.
• Arrive at the distribution facility on time to receive the van assignment based on the weekly schedule.
• Operate company-provided Smartphone / GPS device and follow route assignments.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and debrief with the manager.
• Follow all delivery instructions and company procedures; may assist other drivers as directed.
• Return the van to the station after refueling (fuel card provided) and remove all trash from the van.

Job Type

Currently, we are looking to fill full-time and part-time delivery driving positions in the Batavia / West Chicago area.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable delivery driving experience.
• Experience with larger vehicles like Sprinter Vans, 15-passenger vans, buses, box trucks, or semi-trucks is a plus (also flex, Uber, Lyft, pizza, flowers, auto parts, etc.).
• Must be physically able to handle walking, lifting, bending, and stooping; ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
• Must be able to work at a quick and steady pace and deliver up to 250+ packages per day.
• On your feet up to 10 hours per day, walking 3-4 miles per day, and climbing in/out of a van 100+ times.
• Safe driver with adherence to traffic rules and company safety policies; respectful of others and property.
• Excellent attendance history; no unexcused absences without a doctor’s note.
• Computer literate and able to operate a Smartphone / GPS device with scanner.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the Western Suburbs of Chicago.
• Computer literacy to operate a Smartphone / GPS device with scanner.
• Fluent in English (Required).
• Large vehicle driving experience (Preferred).
• Delivery driving experience (Preferred, e.g., Lyft, FedEx, UPS, auto parts, pizza, etc.).
• Customer service experience (Required: smile and be courteous to all customers).
• Deliver all assigned packages each day.
• We operate 361 days a year, including weekends and holidays.
