Primary Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for an organized and proactive UCLA student to join the UCLA Psychiatry Staff Office. This role will provide clerical and administrative support to the Psychiatry Residency and multiple Fellowship Programs. Responsibilities include assisting with data entry, filing, sorting mail, preparing materials for events, and managing office supplies. The role also involves handling deliveries across campus, maintaining electronic and physical files, assisting with inventory, lecture coordination, and responding to inquiries from trainees and guests. This is position will also support ongoing projects related to orientation, recruitment, and employee offboarding, and special projects as they arise. If you are a current UCLA Student, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently, and looking to contribute to a collaborative team, we encourage you to apply.

Pay Range: $18.20 - $30.00 hourly

Job Qualifications

  • Must be current UCLA Student.
  • Excellent knowledge of Proficiency with Microsoft office suite and Adobe.
  • Attention to detail in all given tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel files
  • Ability to respond, complete and follow up on special requests and projects.
  • Flexibility to move from one task to another based on changing priorities and frequent interruptions.
  • Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal supervision as requested.
  • Strong writing skills in the preparation letters and other correspondence, using proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and syntax, and typing skills with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office setting and maintain professionalism with all visitors including but not limited to: faculty, medical residents/fellows and other administrative staff.
