Production & Video Assistant Job at Calvary Christian Center in Ormond Beach

Position Overview

The Production & Video Assistant plays a key role in telling the story of Calvary and its ministries through compelling video content, while also supporting the technical production needs of services, conferences, and events. This position combines creative storytelling with hands-on production support, ensuring high-quality audio, video, and lighting experiences across all Calvary campuses.

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Experience operating DSLR and broadcast cameras.
• Skilled in shooting and editing video under tight deadlines.
• Previous live production experience.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, volunteers, and leadership.
• Strong creative problem-solving skills with a proactive, “think ahead” mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify compelling moments and craft engaging stories from raw footage.

Essential Responsibilities

Creative Video Production

• Conceptualize, shoot, and edit video content for Calvary’s Sunday services, ministry events, and campus activities.
• Produce and submit broadcast shows for Calvary.
• Create videos that share the full story of Calvary’s mission, ministries, and outreach.
• Oversee contracted video engineers when needed.

Production Support

• Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of audio, video, and lighting systems for services, conferences, and events.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, and inventory management.
• Help design and implement stage designs and equipment upgrades.
• Support, train, and lead volunteer teams in audio, video, and lighting.
• Monitor and maintain high production standards for all services.
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment as needed.
• Assist in planning and executing production needs for special events and services.
• Travel to Calvary campuses for service observation, equipment setup, training, or meetings.
• Operate production equipment (audio, video, lighting) for services and events as assigned.

Other Duties

• Manage projects, organize tasks, and prioritize workload.
• Be available outside normal business hours when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
