Certified Welding Inspector — Automation Personnel Services is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for a client in Saginaw, AL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding inspections, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards, and maintaining accurate documentation of welding activities.

Schedule and Hours
1st shift - 7:30am–4:00pm

Certified Welding Inspector - Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and industry standards
• Inspect and test welded joints to ensure structural integrity and compliance with quality requirements
• Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions
• Document welding parameters, inspection results, and quality control metrics
• Identify and report any welding defects or non-conformities
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and welding codes
• Collaborate with welders and engineers to resolve quality issues

Certified Welding Inspector - Qualifications and Requirements

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
• Proven experience as a welder or welding inspector
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques
• Strong understanding of welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and documentation skills
