Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Monday-Friday 9am-6pm; shifts may vary based on need

Location: 2488 E Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34744 for 2 days/week and 3 days traveling to Kissimmee and Lake Nona.

The community you’ll be caring for: Sports Physical Therapy Patients

The role you’ll contribute:

As a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.

Responsibilities and opportunities:

  • Be part of a team of over 45 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, delivering whole-person care to help patients heal, strengthen and renew.
  • Serve patients across Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated team of therapists, clinicians and staff.
  • Engage in promoting evidence-based standards of care and lifelong learning through autonomous and collaborative participation in research, journal clubs, teaching/mentoring/CI, and clinical practice education within a peer group.
  • Regularly participate in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships (minimum of 2 contacts per month) and support consumer marketing through community events and educational lectures, as approved by manager or director.
  • Determine Physical Therapy Diagnosis and establish a plan of care; make recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside of the Physical Therapist scope.
  • Eligible to perform Direct Access Physical Therapy in outpatient settings as indicated per state practice act.
  • Design and implement a treatment plan of care using standard practices, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs; monitor progress and adjust the plan as appropriate.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Licensed in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist, or Temporary State of Florida permit as Physical Therapist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous experience or clinical rotations in an outpatient setting
