Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights - Weekends at Mountain Youth Academy, Mountain City, TN. Full-time (36 hours). Shifts available: 3 pm to 11 pm and 11 pm to 6 am. Excellent benefits, including shift differential for weekend hours.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor patients' physical and mental health status, including vital signs and behavioral changes; document observations and progress in medical records; conduct rounds to assess compliance with precautions/observations.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders; monitor for side effects and adverse reactions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans; educate patients and families about treatment plans and care.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program and licensed (or license eligible) in the State of Tennessee
  • Associate Degree
  • Experience with EMR systems; knowledge of mental health disorders
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Successful background check, fingerprinting, and employment verification

Organization

Mountain Youth Academy (a UHS company) is a 120-bed residential treatment facility serving young adolescents with behavioral health needs. The RN in a Residential Treatment Center position assesses patients, administers medications, follows treatment plans, educates families, and maintains medical records while collaborating with the healthcare team.
