- Minimum 12+ years' Experience
- At least 5+ years of SQL DBA experience covering implementation, production support and project work. At least 4+ years of exposure as L3/SME support role.
- Knowledge and Understanding of ITIL process
- In client facing role(s) for at least 3 years.
- On call support for at least 3 years.
- Excellent Documentations skills in MS SharePoint 2010 /2013, Confluence.
- Sr.level Microsoft SQL Server DBA with experience in large and critical environments.
- Good Experience of performance tuning at both server level and query level. Candidate must have knowledge of perfmon, SQL Server dynamic management views.
- Knowledge of SQL server internals.
- Knowledge of SQL partitioning.
- Hands-on experience on mirroring, replication and Always ON.
- Must have automation experience. Good knowledge of scripting. Ability to write scripts in T-SQL, PowerShell or Python. Knowledge of SSIS packages.
- Hands-on experience on SQL Server Clustering.
- Hands-on experience on Integration Services, Reporting services and Analysis services.
- Knowledge on AWS Cloud services like RDS, S3, Redshift etc.
- MySQL/PostgresSQL knowledge / experience.
- Linux Knowledge.
- Experience with Azure.
- Experience with Snow Flake.
- Experience in PowerBI.
- MS certifications on MSSQL latest versions or AWS/Azure.
- Ability to think about a problem, identify what we have and implement solutions to solve the problem independently.
- Work with onsite client team / Application owners in US / UK to Migrate Applications, Database building and Decommissioning.
- Ability to take lead on some projects and works as part of a team (follow another leader on others).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think in and out of the box. Come up with service improvement ideas and innovative solutions.
- Self-motivated, conscientious, dedicated individual who works equally well independently or as a member of a team.
- Must be willing to take responsibility and ownership instead of waiting to be assigned work.
- The candidate must be willing to provide On-call and weekend support for SQL and MYSQL, the support is rotated among DBA's in US and India.
- Enable and support the team in resolving day-to-day production issues, application upgrades and patches, performance analysis, disaster recovery implementation, capacity planning and other activities as may be necessary.
- Work on Change implementations during UK, US business hours & weekends as per change management process.
- Documentation & Operational performance reporting.
- Own Service Improvements.
- Execute on demand IT projects.
- Drive compliance to client and organization processes and policies.
- Ensure Quality of deliverables.
