Summary

We are seeking an IT Specialist to provide technical support and assistance to our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software and be able to troubleshoot issues efficiently. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain experience in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Deliver on-site and remote technical support to employees, resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to computers, printers, and networks.
  • Installation: Assist in the installation and configuration of computer systems, applications, and peripherals as well as Point of Sales systems.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and updates on hardware and software systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations.
  • User Training: Educate staff on best practices for using technology and software applications.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the IT team to support the rollout of new technologies and ensure smooth execution of system upgrades.

Profil

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional coursework in Computer Science or IT is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: IT support experience preferred; hospitality industry background a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking. Toast POS experience is required.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for translating complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language for non-technical users.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are advantageous.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work across multiple environments (e.g., office, server room) required.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, when necessary.
  • Candidate must have access to dependable transportation.
