Responsibilities

The MC Dean Critical Power department provides our customers with safe and effective maintenance and installation of UPS, battery, and other critical power equipment. This position requires an individual who is keen on learning new applications and capable of critical thinking, customer service, and problem solving as well as working independently after receiving adequate training.

Learn and understand topics including critical power and battery systems, LOTO, safety, and troubleshooting.

Installing battery systems, taking electrical readings, and testing continuity of circuits using appropriate equipment.

Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

Generate tickets to ensure equipment maintenance and repair is completed in accordance with OEM standards.

Travel up to 75% of the time.

Receiving and counting stock items and recording data

Packing and unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in the warehouse

Verifying inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigating discrepancies or adjusting errors

Controlling operations of a forklift and pallet jack

Storing items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouses and supply rooms

Marking stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment

Cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations

Determining proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities

Keeping records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment

Examining and inspecting stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors

Weigh each shipment before it leaves the warehouse and write it on the pull ticket and material. (If a scale is present)

Keep track of test equipment temporarily used in the field using the MC Dean TEAM Asset application and verify they are maintained, calibrated and charged

Assist other departments with duties as required

Qualifications

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of experience

This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance to our policy.

Candidate Expectations:

Abilities:

The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety.

Relocates a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.

Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.

Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls, and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.

Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.

May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
