Position Title:
Supply Chain Assistant
Schedule:
Full-Time: Monday-Friday (Flexible Shift)
Position Summary: The supply chain assistant will assist the purchasing team throughout multiple steps within the supply chain sequence.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to purchasing leaders and any general office administrative support deemed necessary by divisional management.
Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to direct leader.
· Verify prices, quantities, dating, and freight.
· Update ERP system to match bills.
Maintain an efficient and well-organized filing system for the department and ensures items are archived and disposed of per company guidelines.
· Track late delivery loads and assist in investigating and implementing recovery plans.
· Assist in gathering new information for new business price quoting and for new vendors.
· Collect vendor audits and renewal of any expired audits.
· Track inbound product quality and issue USDA inspections when necessary.
· Coordinate between buyers to maximize freight load.
· Assist in price after sale files and issuing invoices to vendors.
Assist in plant wide inventories by tracking invoices to vendors.
Work with Business Analysts to improve available information regarding inventory concerns, contracts, spending, vendor scorecard, and forecasting.
Enter orders and RMA’s into the system
Customer communication as necessary regarding orders, inventory, rejections, late deliveries, etc.
Replenishment purchasing
Accounts receivable collection assistance
Qualifications:
Entry Level
Experience in food & beverage industry preferred
Experience with inventory
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
· Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Outlook, data-entry, and typing
· Effective time management; maximizes productivity
· Ability to analyze and interpret data
· Negotiation skills
· Displays expense and cost control in decision-making
