Job Title: Housekeeper

Pay Rate: $17.00/hour

Hours: 6pm - 2am

Reports To: Housekeeping Director

Position Description

As a Housekeeper at St. Luke Health Services, your primary responsibility is to perform daily activities within the Housekeeping Department, ensuring the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will follow directives from the Director of Housekeeping.

You must be available to work more than eight (8) hours per day or more than thirty (30) hours per week as needed.

Responsibilities

  1. Follow specific cleaning and floor care procedures outlined in the St. Luke Procedures Manual and during training sessions.
  2. Adhere to policies in the St. Luke Employee Handbook.
  3. Wear your uniform unless instructed otherwise by your supervisor.
  4. Perform tasks promptly and professionally.
  5. Maintain infection control and universal precautions; dispose of PPE properly.
  6. Follow safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.
  7. Perform special cleaning procedures for discharged or transferred residents, including making beds.
  8. Keep work areas free of hazards such as protruding handles or unnecessary equipment.
  9. Dispose of trash and biohazard waste daily following sanitation procedures.
  10. Never leave housekeeping carts, chemicals, or equipment unattended.
  11. Maintain adequate supplies in utility or janitorial closets.
  12. Perform other duties as directed by supervisors or management.
  13. Keep supervisor informed of supply needs.
  14. Ensure work areas and equipment are clean and properly stored.
  15. Report all accidents/incidents immediately to your supervisor.
  16. Follow fire safety policies and procedures.
  17. Report broken or damaged equipment.
  18. Attend meetings and in-services as scheduled.
  19. Maintain resident confidentiality and respect personal and property rights.
