The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting basic maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting under supervision to ensure smooth operations of production equipment and facilities. This role starts at $27.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct routine maintenance checks and assist with preventative maintenance on insulation production equipment.
2. Perform basic repairs under supervision (e.g., replace belts, fuses, or bearings).
3. Assist in equipment inspections, including RTO systems, chillers, and basic HVAC components.
4. Complete work orders and log maintenance activities accurately using CMMS systems.
5. Monitor performance of machinery, reporting abnormalities or potential issues to senior team members.
6. Assist with maintenance of tools and parts inventory.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas.
8. Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
9. Follow all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out protocols and PPE compliance.

4. Raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical or maintenance roles required.

Skills

• Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of mechanics, tools, and systems.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively under supervision in a team-based environment.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify minor issues and assist in troubleshooting.
• Safety Awareness: Strong adherence to health and safety protocols.

Work Environment

• Frequent standing, lifting (30-50 lbs), climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces.
• Exposure to noise, heat, cold, and hazardous chemicals (e.g., butane, propane, methyl formate).
