Overview

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule

Part-time (PT) shift, Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM. PM hours may vary by location.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of packages
• Ensure shipments conform to FedEx service standards
• Provide related customer service functions as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED
• Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Neat appearance due to customer contact
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position; medical exam required
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries per FMCSA guidance
