Overview
MaineHealth Cardiology is seeking a full-time clinical/imaging cardiologist for their faculty practice based in Portland with inpatient duties at Maine Medical Center and outpatient activity centered in our Scarborough ambulatory center. There are opportunities within several established specialty programs including cardiovascular genetics, advanced cardiac imaging (PET/CMR/CT), cardio-oncology, women’s heart health, prevention, digital health, and the newly formed aortic center of excellence. Responsibilities and Opportunities
A growing multi-specialty practice with ambulatory locations in Scarborough, Biddeford, Sanford, Lewiston, Brunswick, Skowhegan, North Conway (N.H.), Norway, Augusta, Waterville, Lewiston, Rockport, Damariscotta, and Farmington. Faculty cardiologists are part of the nationally recognized Cardiovascular Service Line at Maine Medical Center, serving as the hub for the extended MaineHealth network and coordinating cardiovascular care with regional hospitals. Experience with Value Based Care through the Maine Heart Center and participation in BPCI-A and the MaineHealth ACO. Direct teaching role with medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows. Academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine and the opportunity to participate in the Tufts-Maine Track MD program. Research opportunities for faculty using internal and external funding sources with access to resources including the Maine Medical Center Research Institute (MMCRI). Team-based care model with a collaborative approach to care. Competitive compensation package including relocation assistance, CME expense reimbursement, and malpractice insurance.
