Duties and Responsibilities Administrative Serve on committees related to OB/GYN, including Department Education Committee, Graduate Medical Education, and QA Committee. Participate in committees not directly related to OB/GYN. Assist Program Director with residency program administration, including curriculum development, resident rotation structuring, statistics collection, manual updates, and recruitment. Take an administrative role as the Hospital FPMRS practice expands to include other FPMRS specialists. Direct Patient Care (Private Patients) Follow safe work practices, participate in safety programs, and coordinate care at Practice Sites, maintaining effective liaison with referring physicians. Maintain a private FPMRS practice within the OB/GYN academic group, seeing up to five half-days per week with a reasonable patient load per session. All services provided through the OB/GYN group are deemed hospital services and are covered under this agreement, including liability coverage. Be scheduled and available at the office and hospital for a minimum of 36 hours weekly, with 4 hours allocated for administrative tasks, totaling 40 hours. Deliver professional medical services in your specialty, adhering to a schedule that meets patient needs, which may include weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays, subject to employer policies. Supervised Patient Care (Staff/Clinic Patients) Supervise residents in FPMRS and gynecology clinics. Supervise residents providing care to FPMRS inpatients. Supervise residents offering urogynecology consultation services. Teaching Participate actively in educational activities such as Grand Rounds, Morning Report, Journal Review, Textbook Exams, and Morbidity/Mortality Conferences. Deliver invited lectures outside the department, including to nursing staff. Hold weekly teaching sessions for medical students on service. Participate as an OHEP Mock Oral Board Examiner when invited. Financial Ensure proper documentation of revenue-generating encounters and promptly transfer documentation for billing. Research Engage in at least one publishable research project at all times, with or without resident involvement. General Responsibilities as a Member of Hospital Staff Comply with hospital-wide rules and bylaws. Achieve board certification in your specialty or subspecialty within five years of becoming eligible. Additional Departmental Support Support staffing needs of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the absence of other faculty.
