Position overview The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) invites applications for a full-time faculty position within the Movement Disorders Program. We are seeking a board eligible or board certified physician with a genuine passion for caring for patients with movement disorders. The successful candidate will play a key role in our specialty and interdisciplinary clinics at UCI Health. Salary information: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Neurology ranging from $220,000 to $289,940. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. The UC Irvine Movement Disorders Program seeks a physician to join our team in a role that includes clinical care, research, and education/mentorship responsibilities. The successful candidate will participate in our specialty and interdisciplinary clinics at UCI Health. Responsibilities include providing collaborative, compassionate patient care; opportunities for research; and teaching and mentoring residents, medical students, and post-doctoral fellows. Active involvement in professional societies is preferred. Experience in teaching and/or clinical research or clinical trials is highly desirable. Candidates must hold an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., or equivalent degree with active board certification or eligibility in Neurology and fellowship training in Movement Disorders. The program offers a broad spectrum of movement disorder care and related services with multidisciplinary teams, clinical trials infrastructure, and opportunities for research mentorship. The Department of Neurology and the Movement Disorders Program emphasize education, including a UCNS-certification fellowship for Movement Disorders, and programs for undergraduate, postgraduate, continuing medical education, and neurology grand rounds.
