Overview
Come join our team as a Recreation Supervisor. The Recreation & Senior Services Department is currently looking for one full-time Recreation Supervisor to join the Park Patrol team. The Park Patrol team consists of full-time and part-time staff who interact with the public and City departments daily. This position will be responsible for promoting park safety and compliance with City municipal codes through education; tracking and coordinating the resolution of municipal code violations and safety issues; and compiling reports of Park Patrol activities, incidents, accidents, and other occurrences. Experience:
Three years of experience developing programs, activities, and/or code enforcement OR two years working directly with public recreation agency or program. Two years experience supervising staff is also required. Education:
A bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in recreation administration, human services and development, public administration, natural sciences, or a related field. License/Certificate:
Due to the performance of some field duties which require the operation of a personal or City vehicle, a valid and appropriate California driver\'s license and an acceptable driving record are required. Red Cross CPR and First Aid certificates within six months of hire. When assigned to Park Patrol: possession of Penal Code Section 832 certification within six months of hire. Please Note:
