Overview

Come join our team as a Recreation Supervisor. The Recreation & Senior Services Department is currently looking for one full-time Recreation Supervisor to join the Park Patrol team. The Park Patrol team consists of full-time and part-time staff who interact with the public and City departments daily. This position will be responsible for promoting park safety and compliance with City municipal codes through education; tracking and coordinating the resolution of municipal code violations and safety issues; and compiling reports of Park Patrol activities, incidents, accidents, and other occurrences. The retirement formula is based on appointment date and membership status with CalPERS and the employee is required to contribute 11.5% of pay towards the retirement benefit. Experience:

Three years of experience developing programs, activities, and/or code enforcement OR two years working directly with public recreation agency or program. Two years experience supervising staff is also required. Education:

A bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in recreation administration, human services and development, public administration, natural sciences, or a related field. License/Certificate:

Due to the performance of some field duties which require the operation of a personal or City vehicle, a valid and appropriate California driver\'s license and an acceptable driving record are required. Red Cross CPR and First Aid certificates within six months of hire. When assigned to Park Patrol: possession of Penal Code Section 832 certification within six months of hire. Please Note:
