Overview
Openhouse designs signature product collections with direct-to-factory production, catering to hospitality, wellness/fitness, retail, media, and PR sectors. We focus on exceptional design and industry-leading quality, promoting sustainable and premium products rather than cheap throwaway items. All commerce will now live on openhouse.store.
Role Summary
We need a Shopify Developer to build our new store and then manage it weekly for a few hours. The build will be a clean, conversion-ready site that showcases our products clearly (pricing, MOQ, samples, artwork upload). After launch, you’ll stay on as a part-time manager for updates and fixes as we launch new products.
Responsibilities
Build a Shopify storefront using a modern theme (mobile-first, fast).
Implement product detail pages with Price per SKU, MOQ (enforced), Downloadable Die-lines, Variant Colors, Sample vs Purchase flow, Upload Your Art file uploader, Made-to-order items, and in-stock & ready-to-ship products.
Configure Collections (New Arrivals, Best Sellers, By Category) and basic filters.
Install and configure Shopify apps for
file upload
and
MOQ enforcement .
Set up
GA4 via GTM
and ensure SEO basics (titles, sitemap, robots).
Post-launch: Handle ongoing fixes, updates, and new product activations (2–3 per month).
Ensure performance and link-readiness for marketing campaigns.
What we’re looking for
Proven experience with
Shopify theme development and customization .
Familiarity with
Shopify metafields, product variants, and app integrations .
Strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JS) for tweaks.
Comfortable with ongoing QA, bug fixes, and small improvements.
Ability to collaborate with a small internal team (design, merchandising, marketing).
Timeline & Budget
Build budget:
$4–5k for initial site launch (3-week timeline).
Ongoing:
Weekly/part-time maintenance retainer (hours-based).
