Overview
The HT Group has partnered with a Texas-based grocery organization to identify an accomplished
Chief Operations Officer (COO)
to oversee all operational functions across its Valley locations. This executive will play a key leadership role in driving operational excellence, optimizing performance, and ensuring best-in-class customer service throughout the region. The COO will oversee day-to-day store and operational functions. Reporting to the CEO, the COO will focus on operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, supply chain management, and workforce development. This is a hands-on role ideal for a leader who thrives in the details of grocery operations and is capable of stepping into the CEO role in the future.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day store operations, including staffing, merchandising, and customer experience.
Drive efficiency across supply chain, logistics, and vendor relationships.
Lead operational initiatives such as process improvements, store expansions, and technology upgrades.
Mentor and develop store managers and operational staff.
Collaborate with CEO on strategy, budgets, and performance goals.
Ensure compliance with food safety, labor, and retail regulations.
Champion the company’s family-oriented culture and high customer service standards.
Qualifications
10+ years of grocery or retail operations experience, including multi-store oversight.
Strong people management skills with a track record of developing teams.
Experience with inventory, logistics, and vendor management.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
Entrepreneurial mindset, capable of transitioning into broader executive leadership.
