The Merchandiser Supervisor is responsible for maintaining merchandising standards within a designated geographic area by increasing total supply chain efficiencies for our suppliers and leading a team of front-line employees to merchandise a diverse portfolio of products to key retail accounts. What Your Day Will Look Like
Collaborate with the sales and delivery staff to improve processes and drive productivity while maintaining the highest levels of customer service satisfaction. Assist with the training of all merchandisers with a focus on correct merchandising techniques, waste elimination, and Company policies and procedures. Review and analyze daily route plans and work assignments to ensure proper work-load distribution among all employees. Help prioritize work assignments for merchandisers to meet sales, delivery, and customer demands. Measure and utilize task data to provide fact-based feedback to retailers and employees when discussing overall performance. Survey and monitor employee productivity and make recommendations for improvements. Other projects or duties as assigned. Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven ability to manage needs and concerns of multiple stakeholders. Selling knowledge with proven ability to create and sell specific promotional programs & key initiatives. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Work with minimal supervision; be a self-starter, team player and have the motivation to learn. Ability to repetitively lift, pull, and push 50 lbs.; bend over, reach above head height and kneeling. Operate and maneuver a pallet jack. A valid driver’s license and excellent driving record are required. Able to work a flexible schedule if necessary. Preferred Experience
