Hours, Location and Travel This is a full time position (35 hours a week) during Monday-Friday business hours. We maintain an office in NYC, and we participate in or host events in NYC (mostly Manhattan and Brooklyn, but we serve all 5 boroughs) and in the Hudson Valley. Our staff currently works remotely most of the time but does have some in-person meetings and events in NYC for which in-person attendance would be required, some of which will be on evenings or weekends. The Communications & Program Director should be prepared to be working in-person in NYC approximately 2-3 times per month (with at least a week’s notice). Travel to/from NYC will not be compensated if the employee is located out of the area.

If there is a prearranged event on an evening or weekend, which we anticipate to occur an average of once or twice per month (more during Pride month) in consultation with the CPD about their schedule, this time would be offset by other hours during the work week. Pride month events will require additional in person NYC time. Unless there is a prearranged event, off work time will be honored and protected.

The salary for this position is $70,000, plus discretionary bonus, with significant room for advancement as the organization grows.
