Overview
Street Medicine Advanced Practice Provider - Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine (Practitioner) – Keck School of Medicine, USC. Location: Los Angeles, California. USC is a large private employer and member of the Trojan Family. We are hiring a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine (Practitioner), to deliver services directly to patients experiencing homelessness in their own environments (e.g., under bridges, encampments, on the street). This role is part of a multi-disciplinary team and involves pioneering street medicine in Los Angeles, the city with one of the largest unsheltered homeless populations in the United States. The APP will perform diagnostic, therapeutic, preventative, and health maintenance services under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician.
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive clinical services to individuals experiencing homelessness in street settings and supportive environments.
Perform diagnostic, therapeutic, preventative, and health maintenance services under physician supervision.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care and outreach efforts.
Participate in the education and mentorship of learners as Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine (Practitioner).
Qualifications
Preferred Education: current Advanced Practitioner License (PA, NP, etc.).
Preferred Experience: 3 years, experience working with the homeless population.
Compensation & Benefits The annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 – $150,000. USC considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience and education, key skills, internal equity, applicable laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, and market considerations when extending an offer.
