We are partnered with a reputable and well respected Fire Protection company who is actively looking to grow their already established team with a
Fire Sprinkler Design Manager . This company prides themselves on their reputation and their commitment to delivering the highest quality fire solutions to their customers. Responsibilities
Supervise, manage, train and mentor the current designers within the office. Work closely with the Operations Manager and the Division Manager on current and upcoming projects. Schedule design based on job and schedule requirements and ensure projects are assigned to appropriate design team members. Ensure quality management throughout the construction design process. Communicate status to design team members, customers and management; provide responsive, concise, accurate and professional support to all customers and other personnel with timely follow-up on concerns. Manage the design team’s workload and provide leadership, training and coaching. Perform site surveys, field checks, and train team members on proper site survey processes. Conduct quality checks on drawings through head layout, pipe layout and pipe size review meetings with designers and the General Manager. Build relationships with customers, sales and operations teams. Review and approve drawings prior to submittal and manage resubmittals; ensure final listings and foreman prints are ready prior to pipe on the job date. Know local codes and AHJ requirements within local jurisdictions; manage commitment dates and communicate risks to the team. Assist with recruitment and interviewing of design candidates; provide awareness to sales and operations when scope or headcount changes from the original estimate. Recommend improvements in project management procedures and overall company practices. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications
NICET Level III – Water-based systems Software: AutoSprink, SprinkCad, Revit a plus Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills Detail oriented with excellent organization skills Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel Benefits
