Opportunity Overview :

U.S. Physiatry is seeking a board-certified Physiatrist for a locum tenens Medical Director role at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation team in a recently remodeled 14-bed rehab unit within a respected hospital system.

Assignment Details Facility :

OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital – 14-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit

Support :

Full-time internal medicine team handles medical management; the PM&R Medical Director manages weeknight and weekend rehab-related call only

EMR :

EPIC

Average Census :

Approximately 12 patients

Schedule & Coverage Monday through Friday rounding, 8-hour shifts

Call coverage limited to rehab-specific needs

Weeknight and weekend call responsibilities are compensated separately

Compensation Compensation :

$2,000 per 8-hour weekday

$300 per hour for overtime beyond 8 hours

$400 per night for call coverage, plus overtime if called in

Job Responsibilities

Serve as Medical Director for the inpatient rehabilitation unit, supporting care delivery and quality outcomes

Conduct daily patient rounding and coordinate with therapy, nursing, and case management teams

Ensure compliance with CMS and facility guidelines

Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge planning in EPIC

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning

Provide weeknight and weekend rehab-specific call coverage as scheduled

Working Hours

8-hour weekday shifts (typically 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Monday through Friday rounding

Weeknight and weekend pager call coverage may be scheduled

Additional compensation provided for overtime and call-back

Skills & Qualifications

Experience in inpatient rehabilitation and team-based care coordination

Strong clinical documentation and regulatory compliance knowledge

Comfortable managing an average daily census of 12 patients

Ability to lead and support interdisciplinary teams

Proficiency with EPIC or other EMRs

Board Certification (or Eligibility) in PM&R

Active OH license preferred (IMLC candidates welcome; license reimbursement available upon shift completion)
