Overview
Communications Specialist - Strategic Enrollment Management. Under general direction of the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications for SEM, the Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that promote the institution and division’s mission, enhance its reputation, and engage key audiences. This role involves creating content across multiple platforms, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency in messaging and branding. The ideal candidate is a team player, a creative thinker, capable of executing a plan of action, and technically proficient. This person serves as a liaison between SEM and other entities on- and off-campus to support the division’s integrated marketing, communication, and strategic goals. Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective communication strategies that promote the institution and division’s mission and engage key audiences. Create compelling content across multiple platforms; collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging and branding consistency. Coordinate with SEM and other entities on- and off-campus to support integrated marketing and strategic goals. Key Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in creating and executing strategic communications and communications plans. Working knowledge of theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to market analysis and communications to develop conclusions and make recommendations. Ability to analyze and integrate pertinent facts into communication vehicles. Thorough knowledge of web communication techniques and formats; ability to use web technology to achieve communication goals. Demonstrated ability to interpret, organize, and present information effectively in written or presentation form. Education And Experience
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university and three years of progressively responsible experience in marketing and public relations, or a related field. A graduate degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Salary And Benefits
