About the Opportunity Greater Twin Cities United Way seeks a strategic digital marketing professional to architect and execute comprehensive email and digital fundraising initiatives that drive donor acquisition, engagement, retention, and reactivation. This role is designed for someone who sees digital marketing not just as tactical campaign execution, but as the strategic foundation for building meaningful donor relationships and mobilizing sustained support for transformative community impact. As Manager of Email and Digital Marketing, reporting to the Associate Director, Digital Marketing and Analytics, you'll work in close partnership with the Advancement Team to lead comprehensive digital marketing functions that transform complex donor engagement strategies into measurable revenue growth and community impact. This role requires expertise in email marketing platforms, digital fundraising strategy, and data analytics to demonstrate both the power and effectiveness of digital approaches to nonprofit fundraising. Key Responsibilities

Partner with internal teams to develop strategic digital plans that optimize fundraising and stewardship in support of overall donor engagement and revenue goals Develop and manage a comprehensive email marketing and digital fundraising strategy execution focused on donor and supporter acquisition and retention for one-time, monthly, and donors at smaller giving level programs Collaborate with Institutional and Individual Giving fundraising teams to create and execute retention and growth plans through email and digital marketing for leadership giving level donors, leveraging automation programs Measure and evaluate outcomes tied to email and digital fundraising initiatives, creating feedback loops with stakeholders Communicate strategies effectively to diverse stakeholders and create systems for ongoing optimization Email Marketing Excellence

Create, implement, and oversee all aspects of email marketing campaigns to engage donors, drive response, and achieve campaign goals Plan and execute strategic email marketing campaigns and automated journeys by implementing A/B testing, UTM coding, segmentation, and other automation tools Write and design email content that is readable, grammatically correct, and aligns with brand guidelines Identify target audiences and grow the organization's email contact lists through sophisticated segmentation strategies Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions to identify areas for improvement Utilize email marketing software and platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot) to automate, personalize, and send emails at scale Ensure all email marketing activities adhere to legal regulations and industry best practices Manage digital fundraising and engagement initiatives to acquire, engage, retain, and reactivate donors while championing organizational brand Plan, create, and deliver engaging multichannel fundraising campaigns across digital platforms (email, social media, website, video) in collaboration with fundraising leaders Optimize campaigns for conversions and engagement through A/B testing of audiences, landing pages, devices, creative, and ad platforms Develop and manage emails (Mailchimp), landing and donation pages (Andar/WordPress), tools and graphics for online fundraising campaigns including Give to the Max Day, GivingTuesday, End of Year, and volunteer events Work with Engagement team to develop and execute acquisition and conversion strategies to grow volunteer base leveraging automation programs Monitor digital campaign performance, conduct continuous A/B testing, and adjust strategies to maximize conversion and engagement Support analysis of digital fundraising campaign effectiveness and help establish Greater Twin Cities United Way benchmarks Manage relationships with digital fundraising vendors and research emerging fundraising technologies Qualified Candidate Profile

Experience and Qualifications 4-6 years of email and digital marketing/fundraising experience within a nonprofit organization Proven donor and stakeholder digital strategy and communications skills, including experience in creating effective digital campaigns (email, mobile, website, ads, social media) Proficiency with email service Providers (ESP), ability to create automated workflows for lead nurturing and customized content Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS to customize email templates, ensure mobile-friendliness and troubleshoot design issues Ability to build, clean, and segment email lists based on demographics and behavior for targeted campaigns The Right Fit
