Overview
Corporate Communications Senior Manager, Citizenship role at Ralph Lauren. Responsible for supporting the Global Corporate Communications Team in executing communications strategies in support of the Company’s Citizenship initiatives. This person will help advance and protect the Company’s reputation, ensuring consistent communication of Ralph Lauren’s Purpose and values. Specifically, this role supports programs including Design with Intent, Ralph Lauren’s flagship program focused on cultural collaboration in its design and marketing; corporate philanthropy; and belonging. The scope spans writing and message development, media relations, thought leadership and issues management. Responsibilities
Developing, maintaining and evolving the company’s position and narrative on ongoing and emerging social issues, including creating frameworks and processes for cross-functional collaboration and evaluation of how the Company responds to such issues. Serving as the Corporate Communications representative on the Company’s Cultural Counsel, providing insight and guidance to the group on matters that could impact the Company’s reputation. Working as primary GCC point of contact with business partners in the Citizenship space including Design With Intent, Belonging & Equity and Social Partnerships & Philanthropy; effectively advising and seeking counsel from key partners in this work including Design, Marketing, Merchandising, and Legal, among others. Collaborating with PR teams to plan and execute announcements and product launches around Ralph Lauren’s Design With Intent workstreams to include external communications plan development, crafting of materials such as press releases, messaging and Q&As. Develop thought leadership and stakeholder engagement strategies to secure Ralph Lauren’s leadership in the cultural sustainability conversation. Engaging with press proactively and reactively to manage news coverage of Ralph Lauren’s corporate citizenship activities, commitments and actions. Identifying and managing issues that may negatively impact the Company’s reputation in the Citizenship space. Develop issue briefs, recommended communications strategies, and messaging. Partnering with Global Citizenship team to support stakeholder engagement and issues management within the supply chain. Collaborating with Global and Regional Marketing, Social and other internal teams on the development of external campaigns connected to the Company’s Citizenship programming and messaging. Liaising with Employee Communications and Studio teams to ensure internal messaging is consistent with external strategies and vice versa. Qualifications
Strong storytelling skills - stellar persuasive written and verbal communications skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills Deep understanding of dynamic external landscape and how it intersects with Ralph Lauren’s business and positioning Ability to interpret and leverage data, insights and trends to inform work Superb writing clarity and skills Passion, grit, proactiveness, curiosity Strong instincts and ability to prioritize Ability to manage and advise stakeholders at all levels in the organization Excellent writer Collaborative Extensive knowledge of MS Office Suite (PPT, Word, Excel, SharePoint), with ability to quickly learn other applications, as necessary Compensation and Location
Salary range: $85,000 - $136,000 annually.
