Job Description
We are looking for a detail oriented, well organized individual to work at our Qualification Center located in Portland, OR.The ideal candidate will be a highly efficient, self-motivated individual who has strong verbal and written communication skills Qualifications
The essential responsibilities of the Documentation Specialist include, but are not limited to: Having a strong knowledge of specific medical coverage and documentation guidelines for various commercial insurance plans for respiratory services, home medical equipment and supplies. Review and request appropriate medical documentation according to insurance coverage requirements from physicians and clinical staff to ensure patient qualifies for medical services. Follow up with internal customers via phone, fax, email, etc. regarding outstanding documentation. Verify insurance coverage information, billing documents for accuracy and completeness. Provide instruction to employees on proper documentation completion. Additional Information
