JOB SUMMARY:

The Sales Manager is responsible for creating and executing the overall sales strategy for the property. Essential Job Functions

Answer sales phone calls and follow up on voicemails promptly. Respond to all sales inquiries and follow up on customer needs accurately, timely, and professionally. Actively solicit new business based on hotel needs (to be determined by GM or Sales Leader). Proactively sell and conduct tours of meeting and banquet space while providing information on the hotel. Meet or exceed activity goals determined by GM or Sales Leader. Work with sales personnel to achieve required sales team goals. Generate correspondence, reports, and necessary forms (contracts, proposals, etc.) as directed. Effectively communicate with all departments and outside vendors to ensure that meetings and related functions exceed client expectations; assist with setup and teardown of meeting rooms and/or additional amenities. Ensure proper and organized setup and teardown of meeting rooms. Develop strong customer relationships through professional client communication. Coordinate details to appear on each Banquet Event Order (BEO), including room setup, banquet F&B items, A/V equipment, and billing details. Assist with completing required sales reports and implementing hotel-specific selling strategies. Greet contacts for each meeting and confirm expectations. Create signage specific to each event (reader boards and door cards). Create post-event evaluations to ensure future success. Build and maintain group blocks including inputting rooming lists when necessary. Book events as deployed by Sales Leader. Perform other duties as requested by Sales Leader; may host functions, participate in or conduct sales blitzes, travel, and work extended hours to achieve departmental goals. Other Duties

Hotel experience preferred Event Management or Hospitality degree is a plus Minimum of 1–2 years of hospitality catering sales and experience within a full-service hotel Delphi FDC system knowledge, preferred but not required Flexible availability for events in evenings or weekends Adaptable interpersonal skills to communicate with all hotel employee levels Professional proficiency in English (reading, writing, verbal) Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; satisfactory criminal background screening; professional references. Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not manage other employees. Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to verbally communicate, listen, stand for long periods, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Expected Hours of Work

Some flexibility of hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during core business hours (generally 8 am–5 pm, Monday–Friday). Expect approximately 40 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend work required. EEO Statement
