Overview As a Manager, Digital Marketing at ISTE+ASCD, you will be an enthusiastic digital marketer using your skills to drive positive change in the world. This role is ideal for a confident self-starter who enjoys juggling multiple projects, working with national education organizations, and collaborating with a tight-knit, hard-working team. You will use your expertise in web production, UX, content management, database optimization, analytics and reporting, and testing to improve results and build a better education system for students. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Web Page and Content Management

Create and maintain high-performance, mobile-responsive, customer-facing landing pages using HubSpot and other web CMS tools, as needed.

Collaborate with marketing team members, internal stakeholders, and the design team to manage new and existing site content, style, and appearance.

Email Marketing

Design and create HTML emails for all outgoing email communications, including building email templates and optimizing email messages and layouts.

Implement tracking, sending, and reporting results.

Develop, execute, and optimize email marketing campaigns to support business objectives for lead generation, customer retention, product acquisition, and revenue growth.

Segment audiences and create tailored messaging strategies to improve engagement and conversion.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (content, product, sales, design) to align email campaigns with broader marketing initiatives.

Write, edit, and proofread compelling email copy that matches brand voice and drives action.

Partner with design teams (or design directly) to build visually engaging, mobile-responsive email templates.

Ensure all campaigns are consistent with brand standards, compliance requirements (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.), and accessibility guidelines.

List Optimization

Take the lead on managing database contacts.

Responsible for list retention, engagement monitoring, nurturing leads, and ensuring an effective communication flow with members and prospects.

Contractor Management and Projects

Support management of project timelines and deliverables for email campaigns, marketing automation, and digital marketing initiatives.

Must be organized and experienced with meeting project due dates, task reviews, and approval processes for campaign launches. Ensure email and landing page project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.

Coordinate contractor resources to support email, marketing automation, and other digital marketing work as needed.

Analytics, Reporting and Performance Management

Utilize Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, and other reporting software to provide regular reporting of online marketing performance and user activity patterns.

Create reports using GA4 data to visualize how email and marketing automation campaigns drive traffic, engagement, and revenue.

Integrate email performance with Google Analytics to track campaign impact on website behavior, conversions, and ROI.

Maintain UTM tagging standards for all outbound email links to ensure accurate tracking in GA4.

Monitor user journeys from email through website actions, identifying drop-off points and optimization opportunities.

Provide insights on cross-channel performance to guide marketing campaign planning.

Collaborate with the digital marketing/analytics team to ensure email data connects with broader marketing attribution models.

Develop customized dashboards and communicate channel performance to marketing team, stakeholders, and leadership.

SALARY RANGE:

$65,000.00 to $70,000.00

PRIORITY WILL BE PROVIDED TO CANDIDATES LIVING IN THE DC METRO AREA (MD, DC, or Northern VA); you will be REQUIRED to come into the Arlington, VA, office one day per week.

Knowledge

Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, advertising, or a related field

Solid knowledge of campaign reporting and analysis

Proficiency in Hubspot or comparable email marketing automation/workflow management tools

Understanding of Salesforce or other CRM systems

Familiarity with Asana or comparable project management software

Knowledge of Drupal or similar content management systems

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Infogram, or similar tools

Expertise in G Suite/ Microsoft tools

Understanding of HTML/CSS & SEO

Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge base of Marketing Automation, specifically Hubspot CRM

Demonstrated success in developing optimized landing and email campaigns

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Creativity and innovation in marketing strategies

Adaptability to new technologies and marketing trends

Experience

2+ years of experience in digital marketing-focused positions

Experience with email marketing and campaign management

Proven track record in web content management and optimization

Background in data analysis and reporting
