Overview
The Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a clinical faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, with subspecialty focus on gastrointestinal neoplasms. Clinical track, rank, and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications. The successful candidate will strengthen the clinical and clinical research efforts in GI oncology utilizing translational research opportunities and resources available at the University. The incumbent will attend inpatient and outpatient services and participate in multidisciplinary team care and clinical research within the Cancer Center for GI malignancies. As part of the educational mission, the incumbent will actively teach fellows, residents, and medical students. This faculty position is designed for physicians focused on a career of clinical investigation and the provision of outstanding clinical care, including active participation in the educational mission. Engage in a career focused on clinical investigation and outstanding clinical care, including active participation in the educational mission. Qualifications
MD or equivalent and board-certified in Internal Medicine by the start date. Board-eligible or board-certified in Medical Oncology. Evidence of expertise in the care of patients with GI neoplasms. Application Instructions
