Position Overview
DeLaSalle High School seeks a creative, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Content & Communications Specialist to join our Advancement team. This position plays a key role in telling our school’s story, strengthening connections with families, alumni, and the wider community, and ensuring that consistent, high-quality communication reflects the spirit and mission of our school.
Responsibilities
Manage the Source (daily bulletin) on the school website for families and students.
Produce and distribute the Weekly eBlast to current families.
Create and send the monthly Islanders Forever alumni newsletter to the alumni community.
Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Marketing and Admissions in the upkeep and oversight of the school’s social media channels.
Assist in the creation of the Islanders Forever magazine.
Support the creation of branded content for both print and digital platforms.
Lead and coordinate key video projects, including but not limited to: Hall of Fame, Gala, Admissions Visits, Open House, Christmas Celebration, Salute to Graduates, and additional marketing videos as needed.
Take photos at DeLaSalle events, which may occur during and outside of school hours.
Assist the Advancement team with important events throughout the year.
Collaborate with key staff members to disseminate information to the community via email, text, and robocall.
Event Support & Attendance:
Support communication efforts for school events, including those related to fundraising, admissions, and alumni engagement.
Attend key events as required, which may include occasional evenings or weekends.
General Office & Operational Duties:
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace. Attend staff meetings as required. Follow all relevant office procedures and etiquette, including effective telephone communication.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or related field preferred.
1–3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or related role (education or nonprofit experience a plus).
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Proficiency with email marketing platforms, social media management tools, and website CMS.
Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
Experience with video production, photography, and editing (preferred but not required).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines.
Maintain a competitive spirit.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay range: $52,000-$57,000
