Full Time Responsibilities
Direct and supervise the day-to-day functions of assigned HCP Physician Practices in accordance with federal, state, local standards and Adventist Health Systems Corporate guidelines and regulations. Carry out all established policies including revenue cycle management and human resources. Manage offices in a cost-effective, efficient manner to ensure staff provide high quality care in a courteous and friendly atmosphere. Oversee the start-up of new physician practices, including newly recruited physicians and established community physicians, and assist with credentialing activities. Coordinate, monitor, and improve operations of each practice, including flow management, documentation, training, staffing, and oversight of all provider practice operations. Coordinate the hiring process for practices, complete performance evaluations timely, and participate in employee counseling, coaching, and termination per policy. Provide orientation for new employees and ensure compliance with department policy and procedure, maintaining high levels of employee engagement and job performance. Maintain current job descriptions and complete performance evaluations for staff, ensuring competency. Participate in operating, salary, and capital budgets and ensure compliance with budgets and productivity standards. Supervise, schedule, coordinate usage, and assign duties to all employees to ensure department coverage. Review policies and procedures periodically and make recommendations to ensure continued compliance with current regulations. Assist in developing and implementing written policies and procedures governing practice operations, including patient quality of life and care policies. Proactively evaluate the effectiveness of programs and processes affecting teamwork. Provide oversight of practice revenue cycle management, including up-front collections, correct use of modifiers, and physician coding for "Clean Claim" processing. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: High School Grad or Equivalency required Bachelor's Degree preferred Specialty practice management experience preferred, ideally in neurosurgery Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems, and objectives with experience in fiscal and human resource management Knowledge of accounting systems, hospital and physician insurance billing and collecting Knowledge of Physician Coding and billing, TJC requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations Skills in planning, organizing, supervising, initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making Good written and verbal communication skills Management of multiple practices desirable with effective revenue cycle management Limited proficiency in data analytics Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required Certified Medical Office Manager (CMOM) Preferred Organization
