Senior Product Designer Job Summary

The Senior Product Designer plays a crucial role in shaping innovative and high-quality designs that align with project visions and customer requirements. This position emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, prototyping, and mentoring to drive design excellence and foster creativity within the team. Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to thoroughly understand and refine design requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and customer needs. Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations using design tools such as CAD software and 3D modeling, validating design choices and enhancing usability. Mentor and train junior designers by sharing knowledge and expertise through structured training sessions and comprehensive documentation, fostering a culture of learning. Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to ensure software design integrates seamlessly with overall project goals. Work closely with quality assurance teams to establish design quality metrics and maintain high standards throughout the design process. Qualifications

Proficient in product design principles and techniques with a strong understanding of design for manufacturing and assembly. Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing standards to ensure precision in design specifications. Experience with design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Certification: Optional but valuable certifications include Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) or similar design-related certifications. Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
