Lead Interior Designer
is an integral member of a project team, working on all phases of projects from planning and conceptual design through construction. While working with guidance from the Director of Interior Design, responsibilities include leading interior design efforts on multiple projects, mentoring interior design assistants and interior designers, and participating in business development activities. Responsibilities
Lead interior design efforts on multiple projects from planning through construction. Mentor interior design assistants and interior designers. Participate in business development activities. Lead research, sourcing, price inquiries, and compiling material finishes, furniture, and lighting concepts. Form a strong design concept which aligns with the client’s vision and brand. Interface with clients regularly and contribute to business development efforts. Lead client design meetings and coordinate presentation content including design models and renderings. Ensure quality control of work using BIM and other technology tools and adhere to Taylor Design office standards for documentation. Coordinate with vendors, consultants, contractors, and other disciplines to progress interior architecture and construction administration. Demonstrate accurate technical knowledge and understanding of applicable building codes. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related education/experience. 7+ years of Interior Design experience. NCIDQ or CID accreditation or currently working toward credentials. Basic knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of visualization software such as Enscape or Lumion (preferred). Membership in industry and networking groups such as IIDA. Experience in creating applicable design concepts and preparing material palettes. Experience with Construction Administration including RFIs, Submittals, and understanding of construction processes and schedules. At Taylor Design, we’re humble - it keeps us grounded. Pay Rate: $85,000 to $115,000/year Pay Comments: If you are hired at Taylor Design, your base salary is based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience, project complexity, and licensure and/or certifications.
